Andrea Vargas is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee, who is currently working on her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Hope International University (HIU). She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology, along with the highest academic honors, Summa Cum Laude and Departmental Honors, from California State University, San Bernardino. As a college student, Andrea has worked in psychological research that was presented at conventions, such as the American Psychological Association (APA) Convention. Andrea enjoys working with a diversity of backgrounds, and has areas of special interest, which includes working with families, blended families, couples, youth, and women in a Christian atmosphere, when requested. She is described as being warm, heartfelt, and compassionate. In the therapy room, Andrea is here to create a non-judgmental safe space for her clients, along with assisting and providing the tools needed, in order for the clients to meet their therapeutic goals. Andrea’s self-care includes walking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
